
In light of the Artemis II mission, Nina Klimburg-Witjes featured as a guest in the Ö1 radio programme “Punkt Eins”, hosted by Andreas Obrecht. In their hour-long conversation, Nina discussed which geopolitical and economic developments currently shape the future of (international) space exploration, which position ESA and other European actors may take following NASA’s changes to its Lunar exploration strategy, and which questions – regarding space debris and the diverse symbolic meanings of the Moon – are often left behind in conversations surrounding the ‘new space race’.
